It’s as safe as a regular bank transfer, just way easier!With Vipps you’re able to:• Send and request money• Send gifts• View your account balanceIf youre older than 15 years old you can also: • Pay a business• Pay in stores• Pay online• Pay bills• Settle expenses in a group• Signup for a mobile appscriptionTo use Vipps you’ll need:• A Norwegian national identity number or d-number• A Norwegian mobile number • A Norwegian bank accountIf youre above 15 years old youll also need: • BankID• A Norwegian payment card (Visa or MasterCard)• An email addressIf you add a picture of yourself, it’s easier for others to see who you are - if you dont well give you a Vipps-emoji!You can send up to 5000 kr for free.
If you want to send more than 5000 kr the charge is 1% of the total amount.
Sending gifts cost 5 kr, but are free for all vippsers under 15.
There is no charge for receiving money, and sending money to a business or organisation is free no matter the amount.
It is also free of charge to shop with Vipps online, pay in stores or pay bills.
